Back to Square One...

My graph since the beginning of the year...

...As of today I'm officially in the red on UB (still up overall thx to FullTilt). With a BR of $747.49, I am at -$2.51. I know it could be alot worse, but I honestly can't imagine feeling any worse about my game right now. Despite making around $250.00 in rakebacks and bonuses, I am still in the red. FML.

As I've mentioned before I am sticking with UB at least till I clear all of my bonus. So the plan for now is going to be as follows:

I am not going to play for the rest of the month. Instead I'll be reviewing my stats (on week by week basis) since the beginning of the year. Basically I'll be looking for any difference in my play when things were going good compared to when things were going bad. I'll probably post what I find at the beginning of next month.

My "I Need to Vent" post

Just writing this post because twitter doesn't give me enough characters for this one. Poker has been really pissin me off this month!!! I've been mediocre at best, and the most I've been up is like $45 (I'm down about $35 right now) I could blame the site like everyone else (it has been brutal at times), but F that. If the thousands of pros out there can consistently win online, then why can't I (or anyone else for that matter)....

...so here's the conclusion i came to. After a little review of my stats for this month, I found that I that from positions 1, 2, 3 and the button, I've been winning. From the blinds, however, I am spewing hella money!!! I've actually lost more money from the BB than positions 1-button combined!!! What a Donkey!!! lol.

So with 7 days remaining in the month I've decided to work on my game in the blinds and really make effort to play solid because maybe it's not UB's fault, maybe it's mine. Even breaking even for the month will be a plus for me...

March a.k.a "The Bad Winning Month" Review

I'm starting to wonder if moving to UB was the right move. Sometimes the tables are really bad, and I just force myself to play. Or it could be the "run bad"/tilt phase (see graph) I went through last month that's making me doubt the site and myself a little. But, I'll be playing on UB at least till I clear that bonus, so hopefully things get better. Here are the numbers for the month:

Profit: +$90.84

Bankroll: $865.41 (haven't been keeping track of the bonuses, that's why there's a little extra there.)

Anyways, my goal for April is the same as it was in March. Crack $1000.00 and move up to 50NL.

Wow, I tilted REALLY bad today. I finished my session 30 min ago, and have been sitting at my desk thinking about how bad I f'd up. I don't even want to talk about the amount. I didn't even want to review my hands. All I can say is that I'm a few dollars short of being able to play 50NL now...
Anyways, I hope this turns out to be a valuable learning experience for me in the long run. I now know that I need to work more on maintaining focus (and not titlting). I literally threw money away today, and it doesn't feel good...
So I'm going to take the rest of the day away from poker, and probably pick back up tomorrow.

New Best Day...

Ran really hot earlier today and booked a +$173.12 session at 25NL...

I really want to put in another session today, but it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to finish this damn lab report (for school tomorrow) before midnight. Yeah, after studying my poker stats I noticed that my winrate drops of a lot after midnight, so that's currently my stop time...

Anyways, that session put my BR just over $1000, which means I'm gonna start taking shots at 50NL. Hopefully the swings won't be too bad, as my goal for the month is still to finish with a BR of at least $1000.

My FTP Bankroll is Now $0.00....

...but no, I didn't go busto.
After reading up on suggestions about BR building I came to realize that I was missing out on a lot of potential cash by playing on Fulltilt. So in order to take advantage of a deposit bonus and a 30% rakeback, I decided to switch sites. I actually completely withdrew out FTP for a little under a $1000.00, and deposited $750.00 of that into another site. So the plan will pretty much stay the same. Here's a summary of where I'm at right now...
Starting BR: $750.00
Goal for March: +$250.00
